Oikeo was founded in September 2023 at the CUNEF cafeteria, when Juan and Gonzalo asked themselves a simple question: Why not participate in an entrepreneurship competition? With that idea in mind, they enrolled in the Fundación Startup Programme, a national entrepreneurship competition. To strengthen our team, we partnered with Sofía Tarruella, a top-tier designer, and secured a spot among the top eight startups out of more than 250 participants.

That initial recognition led us to seriously consider the feasibility of the project. We began a market validation process through surveys and interviews to confirm that Oikeo was addressing a real need and to design a solution tailored to a specific customer segment. With a solid foundation, we started seeking strategic partnerships to drive the project forward.

In this context, we participated in the CUNEF University entrepreneurship competition in collaboration with Santander Universities. The competition had two phases: presenting a business plan and delivering an elevator pitch before a jury composed of entrepreneurs and professionals affiliated with Banco Santander. We secured first place, which not only marked our first investment but also opened the door to a strategic relationship with the bank.

The competition's success and the positive feedback from our collaborators reinforced our conviction: Oikeo needed to become a reality. Since then, we have been working to consolidate our vision and build a company capable of transforming the real estate sector through innovation and data.
